Day 68

August 3rd, 2018 at 10:28 am

It drizzled all day so I didn't go out. I stayed home and organised my yarn stash. Now all the yarn I have plans for is in project bags with the pattern The rest is sorted by color and weight. It's quite sobering to reflect on the hundreds of dollars I have in yarn, but it gives me hours of pleasure and makes useful things.

Good plan on organizing your yarn.

I have quite a bit of yarn to make the hats we do at church. It is scary how much yarn is donated to thrift shops because people buy tons of it and then don't use it. However, that is my gain. I bought $28 worth of it -- most of it was around $1 to 1.50 and then it was marked down half so we got a lot of really nice yarn. I've already used 5 skeins of it.

There is much to be said for hobbies that give pleasure and create a treasured gift, or just something that you can use. Good for you for making that spare time useful and productive. I love the feeling of having something newly organized!
