Day 47

Lucky Friday 13th for me. I was given a book of knitting patterns, plus I found 10 cents. Also I was intending to buy a 5.5mm circular needle which costs $9.90 at KnitWorld. I mentioned it to a friend and she found one listed on TradeMe for $3 plus $3 p&p. So she has put a hold on it for me until it closes next Wed, and if she gets it I will give her the money. Wish I could save $3.90 on everything I buy.

    I think it's so smart to buy gently used items for things like knitting needles, where it really doesn't matter!

    Great idea to buy something used. Wish you lived closer. We have had a lot of knitting needles donated to church, including the circular kind. I would have given it to you.

    Many of my crochet hooks I have either belonged to my mom or I bought at thrift stores or rummage sales. I really like the older ones better than the new ones that are out.

    Most of my straights come from the thrift store. I like to have several pairs in the same size, but it's not so easy to find circs second hand. Glad my friend found this one as it's not a size I use very often.
