Last week I started back at my afterschool care cleaning job. Guess what - there is an outbreak of head lice in the little darlings. My poor scalp started tingling, so I hied me to the pharmacist who assured me nits love clean hair and sold me a natural louse killer for nz$22.50. Yikes! I need a lawyer so I can sue for mental stress, public loss of face and anything else that stands a chance of getting me my money back Wink

One of the girls who works there has dreadlocks. Poor thing, she is going to have to cut them off.

When I saw the title of your entry. . . I was afraid it was going to be that! Hope the lice are dispatched soon.

Ohhh, that last comment made me shudder! My partner AS has beautiful super-long dreads that she's grown for about 11 years. She's very attached to them. Having a school-age kid someday opens us up to this horrible possibility...

Get yourself one fine tooth comb and a ton of patience!! ugh! we went through this with Ale last year and, I swear I sometimes feel like they are still walking around in my scalp ::shudder::

We used to have regular outbreaks at school when I was a principal. I got to be quite adept at spotting the lousy little creatures.

I'm reminded of a Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton song which contains the line "I set out to get you with a fine tooth comb" Not romantic.
