The single pay more

The greengrocers on the corner has a good deal, 4 avocadoes for nz$2. Alas I cannot eat 4 whole avocado all by my little self so I must pay .59 cnets for a single one. If I buy one a week that adds up to an extra $4.68 a year. I protest!

Seriously ,There are all manner of politicians promising all manner of sweet deals for families - how about some rebates for us single people. You know, us ones who don't keep having kids we can't afford to bring up without govt help.

    Are they already bagged or, can you pick which ones you want?
    You could pick a ripe one and three "green" ones.
    Eat one that day,
    wrap one of the green ones in newspaper (for fast ripening)
    put the other 2 in the fridge.

    I agree w/ miclason; once they feel ripe, stick 'em in the fridge and they last for a few more days!

    I don't think it's a dig against the single people, but rather a matter of simple economics that leads to the lower prices for buying more. Buy the four, make some guacamole, and invite some friends over! The only issue, of course, is that you have no insurance of the guac being good the next day, so eat it ALL! =)
