NZ $35 million jackpot

June 24th, 2009 at 07:56 am

and I seem to be the one person in the country who hasn't bought a ticket. Everyone is talking about what they'll do if they win. The odds are 1 in 16 million - that's four times the country's population. I picked up 10 cents outside the Lotto shop - more than most people will win.

lol. so true. we do a staff lotto and i never expect to win, it's $2 i throw away every week because some of my coworkers think im 'cheap' if i dont go in on it. and the funny thing is i dont even ask if we win or not, but they always make such a big deal every time they check it 'oh, we didn't win AGAIN'. i am just like 'well, DUH'

Yep, I've believed that the lottery is a tax on people who don't understand probability. Congratulations on your 10 cent win!
