All I want for Christmas

So the pet shop down the road has baby alpacas for sale. They are so cool. I could have yarn for spinning while they are taking care of my overgrown grass.

Anyone got a spare nz$350?

    Remember... baby alpacas turn out to be GROWN-UP alpacas! Still, that would be really cool and it would lead to lots of beautiful items. If you have insurance that you would sell more than NZ$350 worth (and you have the room and the ability to care for it)... why not? Good luck I bet those things are cute.

    No I can't spin, but I have it on the list of things to learn. I'm not zoned for keeping livestock either, so it's a pipedream at the moment. I think I'll have to join the Spiinners and Weavers Guild, so I can buy fleece from alpaca owners. I suspect veterinarian bills and finding someone to look after it when I'm away would make owning one myself more trouble than it's worth.
