Southern fried banana

January 8th, 2008 at 04:52 am

The radio here is already celebrating Elvis' birthday, so I get to eat peanut butter and banana sandwiches in his honor. Not fried, tho, I don't want to wind up a blimp.

Ha-ha, I'm from Memphis and I don't think I'm interested in a peanut butter and banana sandwich, fried or not! My mother used to eat them, but she never fried anything except eggs.

Yum! Might have to put that on the lunch menu for today! (Unfried of course!)

A nice ripe banana sounds like a great substitute for jelly in a PB&J. It's sweet and if ripe enough, just as mooshy.

Mmmm, pb, banana and honey! I used to get those at a sub place in Dallas back in the 80s. They were so good! I haven't thought of them in years, though.
