Dragged out of bed at 6.00 this morning to answer the phone. It was ds calling from England and he was so excited. He told me he'd won a scholarship and would be doing a PhD at Oxford University. You can imagine how pleased and proud I was.
Oh. You guessed it. April Fool's joke. I crushingly informed him that it was already April 2 over here, so the joke was on him. But he did have some real good news; he's starting a job as trainee manager in a chain store.
And I got some better news later on. My work broker told me of a vacancy in a women's clothing store which she thought would suit me. Interview on Wednesday.
